Family: Married to Martha, father of Matthew and Elaine

Church Activities: Member of First Baptist Chruch of Rochester and numerous committees, Board of Managers, Indiana Association of American Baptist Churches.

Political: Governmental offices held: Auditor of Fulton County 1957-60; Indiana State Senator 1961-68, 1977-80. 1980 nominee for Indiana Lieutenant Governor, (Democrat). Fulton County Central Committee Chair, precinct committeeman for many years.

Military Service: 1st Lt. 52nd Field Artillery Battalion, 24th Infantry Division, Japan & Korea, 1953-54; awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service; Member Purdue University Army ROTC Hall of Fame.

Educational Activities: Member of the Board of Trustees, Purdue University, 2003-06.
